Concrete Jar Care
Our concrete jars are sealed for durability, but with a little mindful care, they’ll continue looking beautiful and lasting through every reuse.
🧽 Regular Cleaning
Wipe the surface gently with a damp, soft cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stubborn spots, use a mild soap with water—avoid scrubbing too hard.
🚫 Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Please don’t use acidic or abrasive cleaners. These can damage the natural texture of the concrete and weaken the protective sealer.
⚠️ Protect from Sharp Objects
While sealed for strength, we recommend not dragging or placing sharp items directly on the surface to prevent scratching or scuffing.
♻️ Reapply the Sealer (If Needed)
Over time, the water-based sealant may wear down, especially with heavy use or exposure to moisture. Reapply as needed to maintain a smooth, protected finish.
☀️ Weather Awareness (For Outdoor Use)
If repurposing your jar outdoors, be mindful of extreme conditions. Direct sunlight, rain, or frost may affect the appearance or longevity of the finish.
🧼 Cleaning Your Jar
- Use warm water and mild soap to clean after use.
- Avoid harsh scrubbing or abrasive cleaners to protect the natural finish.
- Let the jar dry completely before reuse, especially if repurposing as a planter.
🕯️ During Candle Use
- Place your candle on a heat-safe surface.
- Don’t let the flame burn all the way to the bottom—leave about ½ inch of wax to prevent jar overheating or damage.
- Avoid moving the jar while the wax is hot or melted.
🌦️ Protect the Surface
- Concrete is naturally porous. Keep away from prolonged moisture or oils to prevent surface stains.
- If water gets on the jar, wipe it dry to avoid marks or darkening.
🧊 For Longevity
- Store in a dry place when not in use.
- Tiny surface bubbles and color variations are normal and add to the jar’s charm—no two are alike!
With gentle care, your concrete jar will remain a beautiful, functional piece long after your candle has finished burning.
